Bringing the Magic to Life
The Indiana Roof Ballroom became an enchanting slice of Hogwarts, complete with whimsical decor and interactive experiences. Working closely with Accent Indy’s talented team and top-tier vendors, the space was carefully designed to transport attendees into J.K. Rowling’s iconic universe. From the moment guests stepped through the doors, the transformation was apparent.
Greeting attendees was a playful Sorting Hat, assigning each guest to a Hogwarts house to build camaraderie and excitement. As laughter filled the air, guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and sipped butterbeer served in steins—a nostalgic nod to the beloved series. The attention to detail, combined with the energy of the room, set the perfect tone for the evening.
An Immersive Hogwarts-Inspired Atmosphere
Walking into the main ballroom for the awards presentation felt like stepping into the hallowed halls of Hogwarts itself. The dining area was arranged in long, family-style tables representing each house: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. Each section was lit in the house’s signature color, creating a dynamic visual experience.
The table decor was meticulously curated to enhance the wizarding world theme. Flickering candlelight floated above the tables, reminiscent of Hogwarts’ Great Hall, while place settings included iconic Harry Potter glasses for a touch of playful charm. Crystal’s culinary team delivered a feast that rivaled the finest Hogwarts banquets. The evening began with a synchronized server parade presenting the first course: a crisp salad featuring locally sourced greens, matchstick apples, and pickled radishes, topped with pepita oat clusters and a chive apple vinaigrette.
For the main course, guests were treated to an herb-crusted chicken breast, paired with butternut squash puree and broccolini peppers—a meal that was both hearty and elegant.
The desserts truly stole the show, with a selection of mini sweet treats reminiscent of the magical confections found at Honeydukes. From delicate cheesecakes to chai sugar cookies, each bite was a perfect ending to the enchanted evening.
